Rihanna is solidifying her title of fashion icon with another cover of Vogue magazine.

The latest issue marks her third time gracing its pages.  This time, the pop star is going for her version of a sporty look donning blue jeans, a sheer black top and her newest elaborate hand tattoo.

The cover story is written by editor Plum Sykes, who describes the experience of having Rihanna style her for a day of shopping.  The singer speaks about her love of menswear that stems from having been surrounded by male friends growing up in Barbados.  She says a blazer is the backbone of her wardrobe, but apparently undergarments are more expendable.  Rihanna explains, "If I'm wearing a top, I don't wear a bra, "If I'm wearing a bra, I just wear a bra."

Rihanna explains she was always a fashion rebel. She tells Vogue, "When I was thirteen or fourteen, I didn’t want to wear what my mom wanted me to wear. I was very much a boy in my style, my demeanor. All my friends were guys. I loved things that boys did. I loved being easy with my clothes. I loved wearing hats and scarves and snapbacks on my head. It was my way of rebelling. I wanted to dress like my brother. After a while, it was just easier for Mom to dress us both the same. We wore the same jeans, the same T-shirts."

The singer adds that while she never desired to be famous, she loves that social media lets her communicate with her fans in a personal way.  With eleven million followers on Instagram, Rihanna admits she doesn't think too much about what she posts.
